Saklikent Gorge - National Park
At 18km long, and 300 meters deep, Saklıkent Gorge is one of the deepest in the world. A national park since 1996 it is around 50 km far from Fethiye
A great day out for the family, you can book a tour with any of the local agents, which will usually be combined with a visit to the nearby ruins of Tlos.
Alternatively, rent a car and spend the day exploring at your leisure.
Depending on the season, and water levels, you can hike up the gorge, clamber over rocks and climb waterfalls.
The more adventures can hire an inflatable ring & paddle, and raft down river to the mud baths some 40 minutes away – don’t worry, there are buses provided to take you back to the start!
Alternatively, relax under the trees in a riverside restaurant, with your feet in the cool water.
Make sure you take a change of clothing, towel, sun cream, water, and good “submersible shoes”
